Hi, MACtivists,

The evidence is clear: Our students need distraction-free learning environments, and Gov. Hochul's proposed statewide bell-to-bell cellphone restrictions are a remedy that's already proving effective.

We demand lawmakers support Gov. Hochul's proposal. We cannot compromise on our students' well-being and mental health and there's no time to delay.

Take action to support cellphone restrictions in schools

Still need convincing?

👩‍⚕️ The U.S. Surgeon General and leading education experts confirm smartphones are disrupting our children's learning.

👮‍♂️ Law enforcement officials support this measure as a key step to improve school safety.

🧠 Schools with these policies see immediate improvements in student engagement and mental health.

📚 Teachers can focus on teaching instead of constant device monitoring.

Here's why this policy makes sense for our school communities:

👨‍💻 Schools can customize the implementation to fit their unique needs.

🎯 Smart exemptions keep phones available for educational uses, health requirements, and translation services.

📞 Clear protocols ensure we can reach our kids during emergencies.

TAKE ACTION: Demand that your legislators support the executive budget proposal for phone-free classrooms!

Our students' mental health and academic success cannot be subject to half-measures or compromise. Join me in demanding that lawmakers support Gov. Hochul's proposal for bell-to-bell, cellphone-free schools without watering it down.

There should be no compromise on our children's well-being. Demand the full implementation of Gov. Hochul's plan now.
